Serving as a prison and a cybernetic modification facility, Silvercross Penitentiary is located on a small island in Madrenice Bay. The island is far away from the main island and tucked away amongst a few smaller islands. Out there, the population is smaller so there is less concern over if a prisoner were to escape, which the warden claims has never happened.
The life for prisoners at Silvercross isn't a good one. After arriving, they never see their family again. Few are willing to take the journey out to the island, and the security is so tight that boat-access to the area is both expensive and often rejected.
Inside the prison, prisoners are often subjected to abuse and neglect. The food is terrible and the work that they are forced to do is difficult. Because the prison is so far away, people are less likely to here the screams as doctors use cybernetics to build soldiers that Ityia can use to defeat their enemies. Few know about the modifications, and very few prisoners have been subjected to it, but those that are are tortured as cybernetics are implemented into their bodies.
The prison itself is very cold and unclean. For years, there have hardly been any renovations done, and as a result, the prison is completely run-down.
